Our February book sale was a great success and raised $1439.64. Every dollar will go towards purchasing a blanket warmer for the Palliative Care ward at Werribee Mercy Hospital. The Foundation is focused on improving the patient experience at Wyndham’s healthcare services, and a warmed blanket will certainly provide a sense of comfort and reduce the physical and psychological stresses on vulnerable patients in palliative care.
A huge thank you to our volunteers Cheryl Coghill and Kathleen French for everything they have done to make this book sale happen. Collection, sorting and storage of the books goes on for months before the event takes place, and it is a big job. The Foundation is very grateful for their generous efforts. Thank you to everyone who supported our book sale by attending and purchasing a great read, or donating books in the lead up. We love how our community really comes together to make our book sales a success!
