It was a day full of gratitude, generosity, and community spirit as we celebrated Christmas with the amazing staff at Werribee Mercy Hospital. The Wyndham Health Foundation team, Christine Thornton and Emily MacFarlane, alongside volunteers Jenny and Nestor, prepared 700 gift bags and joined Bradley Van Ooi, Executive Director, Brendan Pawsey, Rapid Relief Team (RRT), Quest Werribee, and Quest Caroline Springs to deliver a festive lunch and gift bags to 700 hospital staff. It was a privilege to thank the healthcare heroes who care for our community every day.
Christmas Lunch for Our Heroes
Rapid Relief Team generously volunteered their time and provided a delicious lunch for staff, while Wyndham Health Foundation purchased all items included in the gift bags to thank staff for their ongoing service. Quest Werribee and Quest Caroline Springs supported the distribution of the gift bags, helping spread Christmas cheer throughout the hospital.
Gifts from Our Holiday of Hope Appeal
Following the lunch, we were honoured to visit the Paediatrics Unit alongside Nurse Unit Manager Robin, delivering gifts from our Holiday of Hope Appeal directly to young patients. Seeing their smiles and excitement was truly unforgettable and a powerful reminder of the impact community generosity can have.
