We’re thrilled to announce the inaugural Point Cook Derby, taking place on Friday 16 May at Saltwater Reserve, with local rivals the Point Cook Jets and West Point Soccer Club going head-to-head under lights.
This exciting Friday night match isn’t just about the game—it’s about giving back. All funds raised on the night will support Wyndham Health Foundation’s mission to raise $85,000 for critical respiratory equipment at Werribee Mercy Hospital.
The community is invited to come along, cheer on the teams, and get behind a great cause. On the night, there’ll be:
-
Raffle tickets for sale, featuring great prizes including meat trays and Western United merchandise
-
A fun and welcoming community atmosphere
-
Local sport at its best, promoting physical activity and connection
Christine Thornton, General Manager of Wyndham Health Foundation, shared her enthusiasm for the derby:
“You don’t need to spend hours in the gym to improve your health—team sport is a fantastic way to stay active, build relationships, and support mental wellbeing.”
This event is proudly supported by both clubs and serves as a lead-up to our major event, the Wyndham Health Festival on 14 June.
