Doug Mullett is a Wydham local who doesn’t do retirement by halves. The former teacher has recently written a book and has kindly donated 50 copies to the Werribee Hospital Foundation.
100% of the proceeds from the sale of Doug’s book will be dispersed to the Werribee Mercy Hospital.
About the book:
This fictional story follows Amy, a young Australian girl with a passion for travel. After finishing high school Amy decides to take a year off before seeking employment to ponder what she wants to do with her life. After travelling overseas for a year she found that her true passion was yet to be ignited. Through news broadcasts she hears about a large demonstration being planned to protest the role Australia was playing in the war on the Middle East and this is where her life took a drastic turn. Her inquisitive nature compelled her to book a flight to Alice Springs to attend the protest. This book follows her journey and run ins with local police officer, Digby.
