Local resident and business owner of Find My Real Estate, Anu Aggarwal, was a patient at Werribee Mercy Hospital when he experienced thunderstorm asthma. His extreme gratitude for the wonderful staff that helped saved him has driven his desire to want to give back.
After a coffee with the Werribee Hospital Foundation’s CEO Leanne, it was decided that Anu would help by donating $1900 to enable the WHF to fund and purchase a piece of equipment called an EZ-IO Intraosseous Drill. As the equipment name suggests, it’s a drill used for patients requiring cannulation insertion to establish vascular access in critically ill patients.
This little drill will be allocated to the special care nursery (little babies & newborns) and will be placed on the resuscitation trolley in theatre. This drill will help save the tiniest of patients lives.
Anu loves children and often donates to not-for-profit organisations that support children and men’s health. The drill was donated on his birthday, and he feels that we can all do our bit – no matter how small – to help save lives and support our community.
On behalf of the babies and their families who will benefit from this generous gesture, as well as the staff at the Werribee Mercy Hospital, we’d like to sincerely thank Anu for his act of kindness.
